• Breathe: Try the red wine just before serving. If it is too tannic for you, you can pour it into a carafe to ventilate it - but not too long, otherwise it will lose. Sometimes it is enough to swing the wine in the glass.

  • Choose glass: Take bodied glasses for body-rich wine like Bourgogne wine. In this, fine aromas can unfold better. Slim glasses are suitable for Bordeaux wines, for example.

  • Pouring in correctly: Fill a maximum of a third of the wine vine to make the wine swing in the glass.

  • Taste like the professionals: You do not have to be a trained taster to recognize flavors. A bit of practice helps though. Try to imagine how fruits and spices smell and taste when drinking.

  • Enjoy in moderation: For all enjoyment and despite the positive effects of the wine on health: too much alcohol increases the risk for liver, cancer and cardiovascular diseases. There is also a danger of addiction. Moderate consumption ends with a glass for women. Men are allowed to drink more - but not every day.

  • Do not underestimate calories: Perhaps the calories slow down the desire: the wines in the test contain 130 to 160 kilocalories per 200 milliliter glass. These originate from the sweetness, acidity and above all the alcohol in the wine. After all, one gram of alcohol has 7 kilocalories - and the wines in the test contain 18 to 23 grams of alcohol per glass.
